Highly Customizable Unit for Wide Scrap Produced in Slow Production Lines. SWEED’s High Torque chopper line is designed to work in slitter line applications where production line speeds are slower than average. SWEED’s standard choppers utilize the flywheel to achieve scrap chopping action. The HT line is unique in that it’s designed to cut material at zero flywheel speed using the torque from the motor rather than the mass and inertia from a flywheel spinning at high speeds. The 7” wide infeed of the 480 design makes this unit suitable for wider scrap applications. Custom stands and additional safety upgrades are also available.
