The PS-1 is a mechanical lift gap stud welding gun. The simple and reliable lift mechanism is driven by the trigger on the gun. The gap gun works better with some Aluminum applications than the contact guns do. This gun gives excellent results with 5/16” diameter Aluminum studs and with hard Aluminum alloys. The gun has an adjustable foot for easy adjustment for different lengths of studs. The gun can also be fitted with the tripod support as shown above.
SSW recommends this gun for welding our “Aluminum Tap Pad Studs” which are 5/16” diameter and commonly used by the sign manufacturing industry.
