This SEPAC stationary field spring engaged tooth clutch coupling is designed to operate both dry and in oil. It features a sleeve and output hub which simplifies installation gently as compared to other models. OPERATION: When current is applied to the coil in the magnet body, a magnetic field is created which attracts the armature toward the rotor, disengaging the teeth. When the current is turned off springs push the armature into engagement with the hub and torque is transmitted.
