The APM80905 is a 36 V, 4 A, ASIL B, low-EMI, synchronous buck switching regulator module designed to drive high-power infrared or standard LEDs in driver monitoring systems. It integrates high-side and low-side N-channel MOSFETs, input and boot capacitors, and a 5 V LDO regulator in a compact 4 mm × 4 mm × 2.1 mm wettable flank QFN package. The device supports programmable switching frequencies from 400 kHz to 2.2 MHz and includes PWM dimming with on-time and duty cycle monitoring for eye-safe operation. Features include thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, current-limit protection, and an open-drain fault flag. It is qualified to AEC-Q100 Grade 1 and developed per ISO 26262 for ASIL B compliance.
