The A5929 is an automotive full-bridge MOSFET driver designed to control n-channel external power MOSFETs, with integrated cross-conduction protection, motor phase fault detection, and diagnostic fault output. It operates from a 5.5 V to 50 V supply and uses a charge pump and bootstrap capacitor for gate drive. The device is housed in a 24-pin eTSSOP package with an exposed thermal pad, measuring 9.7 mm by 4.4 mm with a nominal height of 1.2 mm. It supports an ambient operating temperature range of -40 °C to 150 °C and a maximum junction temperature of 165 °C.
The A5929 provides robust and reliable gate drive for N-channel MOSFETs in automotive applications. Integrated protection features, including cross-conduction prevention and short circuit detection, simplify design and enhance system reliability.
