y is offering a new generation of carbon brakes, with even higher performance.
Higher availability, faster turnaround times, longer endurance: 2,000 LPO Messier-Bugatti-Dowt
y's new carbon brakes for the A350 XWB feature higher performance (better energy absorption) and faster cooldown for shorter turnaround times (TAT) and increased fleet availability.
Fewer parts for greater reliability and reduced weight The A350 XWB brake is a single-cavity brake. For an airplane in the same weight class, this brake contains only five pistons (instead of six) and four rotors (instead of the usual five). This brake is lighter than its competitor, but still retains maximum thermal capacity.
Brake commonality Messier-Bugatti-Dowt
y is offering a single wheel and carbon brake assembly for both the A350-800 and the A350-900. All three versions of this new jet, the A350-800/-900/-1000, will use the same nose wheel.
Today's most eco-friendly hydraulic brake Messier-Bugatti-Dowt
y is fully committed to the production of environmentally-resp
onsible wheels and brakes, including:
The system itself, which is 100% cadmium-free, chrome-free, beryllium-free (silicon bronze brake bushings) and asbestosfree (stainless steel or titanium insulation).
The production process, which is solvent-free (water-based paint topcoat, low-VOC/volatile organic compound primer), and does not use any chlorofluorocarbons or halons, including by suppliers.
