The MAX48 linear encoder provides non-contact, absolute position measurement in hydraulic cylinders for mobile machinery, using magnetostriction technology for reliable, wear-free operation. It features a 48 mm diameter housing designed for installation in a 48H8 bore, with a 10 mm pressure pipe and a 30 mm damping zone. Measuring ranges span 50 to 2,500 mm in 1 mm steps with a typical resolution of 0.1 mm. It supports analog voltage/current, PWM, CANopen, and SAE J1939 interfaces, operates with supply voltages of 12 V DC or 24 V DC, and is rated for hydraulic oil temperatures up to +95 °C and electronics temperatures up to +105 °C. The housing withstands pressures up to 400 bar and meets IP67 (with cable) and IP69k (with M12 connector) ratings. EMC compliance includes EN 61000-6-2, EN 61000-6-3, ISO 14982, and EN 13309. It has a MTTFd of 69 years per EN ISO 13849-1.
