The RLP5400 printer draws upon proven COTS color laser printer technology and RITEC proprietary rugged design techniques to form a product offering that is ideal for harsh environments. The printer was originally designed for shipboard platforms and is easily adapted to other installation environments. The RLP5400 is powered by a high-volume print engine that produces 600 x 1200 dpi output at print speeds up to 24 ppm (monochrome) and 16 ppm (color). The printer is packaged in a shock and vibration isolated, reinforced aluminum frame that provides the user with all the functionality of an office setting and the rugged construction needed for use in a harsh field environment. The RLP5400 incorporates the full BIT and diagnostic capability of the integrated COTS printer.
