The AD6633CBCZ is a multichannel digital upconverter (DUC) designed for wide bandwidth applications, featuring either 4 or 6 processing channels. It processes 20-bit complex input data and generates 18-bit output data at sampling rates up to 125 MSPS, suitable for driving digital-to-analog converters (DACs) at the first intermediate frequency (IF). The device incorporates a VersaCREST crest reduction engine, which minimizes peak-to-average power ratios, allowing for reduced power amplifier requirements and lower system costs. Each channel includes a full complex numerically-controlled oscillator (NCO) with 32-bit tuning resolution and a worst-case spur of better than -105 dBc. The AD6633 also features programmable RAM coefficient FIR filters for resampling and interpolation, as well as an all-pass phase equalizer that meets IS-95 requirements. The device operates with a 3.3 V I/O supply and a 1.8 V core supply, consuming approximately 75 mW per channel. It supports various control interfaces, including a 16-bit microprocessor interface and SPI/Sport-compatible serial ports, making it versatile for integration into different systems.
