SST’s Optomax Basic range is a cost-effective, optics-only liquid level sensing solution designed for high-volume OEM applications. These miniature solid-state sensors use an infrared LED and phototransistor to detect the presence or absence of liquid, making them compatible with most oil- and water-based fluids. With no onboard electronics, customers handle integration into their systems—supported by SST’s technical team. This stripped-back design reduces cost, ideal for price-sensitive applications. Available in 3-wire (common cathode/emitter) or 4-wire (galvanically isolated) versions, the sensors come in two chemically resistant materials, (Polysulfone or Trogamid housings) and support both internal and external mounting.
