SL™ locknuts are self-clinching fasteners with a TRI-DENT® deformed thread locking feature that provides prevailing torque for vibration resistance, rated for 3 installation cycles. They are designed for use in sheet materials with hardness of HRB 80 or less or HB 150 or less. The locking mechanism maintains fastening strength up to 800°F (426°C), though temperatures above 300°F (149°C) will dehydrate the conversion coating. Material is heat-treated carbon steel with a thermal oxide finish and light oil coating.
