The BSOA-032-22 is a blind threaded standoff from PennEngineering® designed for self-clinching applications. It is suitable for installation in metal sheets as thin as 0.025 inches (0.63 mm) and provides a flush, closed surface on the outer sheet after installation. This standoff is made from hardened stainless steel, making it ideal for use in environments where corrosion resistance is necessary. The BSOA series is specifically designed for blind hole applications, ensuring that the standoff does not protrude through the sheet, which can be beneficial for aesthetic and functional purposes. The product is compatible with standard hole sizes and can be installed using a simple squeeze method, making it efficient for assembly processes. Custom sizes may be available upon request.
These standoffs, which use the proven self-clinching design, install with a squeeze in properly sized round holes - and become permanently mounted in the thin sheet.
When blind-threaded types are used, outer sheet surfaces are not only flush, but closed as well.
