MINI EDGE SERVER WITH EXPANSION Xeon processing and PCIe x16 expansion converge in the compact MC850-70 to create a scalable mini edge server solution for industrial automation, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data aggregation or content caching applications. Adding server functionality closer to the edge makes it possible to provide critical resources, data analysis, and decision-making on a secure on-site network with faster response times and lower operational costs than a traditional full-scale data center. RELIABLE MINI SERVER DESIGN The MC850-70 was designed to place server performance and graphics processing in environments where a rackmount or server room isn’t available. Built on a compact Mini ITX footprint, the system measures 230 x 146 x 241.5 millimeters and eliminates the need for clumsy external power adapters by integrating its 300W PSU into the system to make installation easy. A rear-mounted fan provides efficient, full-system cooling under full system load by creating an optimized “V” pattern airflow to pull heat away from sensitive components while corrosion-resistant galvanized steel and anodized aluminum construction make the MC850-70 well-suited for a range of environments. MINI EDGE SERVER FUNCTIONS & EXPANSION The MC850-70 provides functionality and expansion options that belie its compact size. Four high-capacity storage drives can be installed, two of them being ultra-fast NVMe drives and two 2.5” drives, and a single PCIe x16 slot provides a variety of expansion options, including additional LAN, PoE+ for surveillance, or GPU for machine learning.
