The F-ILPC-13-APC In-line Polarization Controller is suitable for fiber optic systems and experiments where small size is needed. It performs like the bulky paddle controllers but can fit into most rack mountable housings. It is pigtailed with conventional communication fiber and can be easily installed in systems without difficulty. The polarization controller does not squeeze the fiber which could damage the fiber jacket. The principle of the polarization controller is based on two quarter waveplates to transform an arbitrary input polarization state to another. The quarter waveplate is made by using fiber having birefringence. The device has two independently controllable rotators. The F-ILPC-13-APC is a singular wavelength model that operates only at 1310nm. It comes with FC/APC connectors.
