The F-COL-9-13-FCAPC Fiber Pigtailed Collimator consists of a single-mode 9/125 μm FC/APC connectorized fiber pigtail precisely aligned to a Gradient Index (GRIN) lens assembly, which is ideal for collimated light applications. The standard 1310 nm version comes with FC/APC connectorized fiber endings. Other fiber termination options are available as F-COL-9-13-OPT. Please contact Newport for more details. Each fiber is contained in a glass ferrule, angle polished and AR coated to assure low back-reflection into the fiber pigtail. A protective metal housing sleeve and strain relief boot provide excellent environmental protection to the final assembly. Applications for a single fiber collimator include laser beam delivery systems, as well as coupling the output of a fiber into a detector. Applications of pairs of collimators include beam expansion systems for lab applications, as well as fiber-to-fiber coupling in compact components.
