The 77721 Fixed Slit Holder may be mounted to the input port of an Oriel® MS257 Spectrograph, or at the input and output ports of the Oriel MS257 Monochromator. Using fixed slits is the most economical choice when a single, non-adjustable height and width are required. Fixed slits should also be considered when a few select sizes are required, as they provide excellent repeatability. A number of fixed slit models are available in various sizes (ordered separately). When ordering fixed slits, the input and output slits should be of the same size. The MS257 Monochromator and Spectrograph require fixed slits to be installed into the 77721 prior to operation. Order two for single output port instruments, and three for dual output port configurations.
Note: fixed slits are slit holders ordered separately. The slits should be the same size at the instrument's input and output ports.
