The 62728-117 DURALENS™ coated Plano-Convex Infrared Lens is made of ZnSe material and is Mitsubishi® OEM compatible. It has a diameter of 2.0 in. (50.8 mm), edge thickness of 7.9 mm, and a focal length of 5.0 in. Zinc Selenide's low absorption coefficient makes it a perfect candidate for focusing applications using high power CO2 lasers. They are designed for high durability and accuracy and manufactured by automated CNC technology to assure complete uniformity. In most laser cutting machines, meniscus lenses are used because they produce a smaller focus diameter. In some machines, plano-convex lenses are used because their production costs are a little bit lower.
