HDMI OVER DUAL CAT5E/CAT6 PASSIVE BALUN EXTENDER SET - PART# 90-12034 This passive (non-powered) HDMI over Dual CAT5E/CAT6 balun set extends your HDMI video and audio signal up to 100 ft. with CAT6 cable from the HDTV source. Running HDMI over just two runs of commonly used CAT6 cable results in even more material cost savings, while still providing greater signal distance and installation flexibility. Maximum resolution/bandwidth of 165 MHz at 1080p/24Hz. Solid gauge CAT5E cable may be used, but for optimal performance and distance CAT6 is suggested for this passive device. Tech Note: Standard pre-made patch cords (stranded conductors) shouldn’t be used for these products. Use solid conductor CAT5E/CAT6 bulk cable throughout installation run, correctly terminated with RJ45 connectors (T568B). Avoid breaking cabling up by going thru CAT5E/CAT6 wall plate jacks and panels. AV over CAT5E/CAT6 extenders in general are designed and tested to work directly from the original Source device (laptop, BlueRay DVD, cable/satellite box, etc.) to the Display/HDTV. Although success can be experienced, signal performance, compatibility, and endurance over time can't be guaranteed when combined with AV receivers/signal processors, switches or splitters/amplifiers between the original Source and Display.
