Master Bond, Inc. Toughened, One Component, Thermally Resistant Epoxy EP17

Description
Master Bond Polymer System EP17 is a toughened one component heat curing epoxy resin system featuring high shear strength and very high temperature resistance. This one component system is formulated to cure at a minimum temperature of 300°F to 350°F for 60-90 minutes. Post curing for 1½-2 hours at 350°F/400°F is recommended for optimal performance. Upon full cure, EP17 has a tensile shear strength in excess of 3,500 psi. The service temperature range extends from -100°F up to 600°F. EP17 forms toughened and dimensionally stable bonds with minimal shrinkage upon cure. It is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. EP17 has a paste consistency. EP17 possesses high physical strength properties and is readily machinable. As a one part system EP17 is easy to handle. It does not require mixing prior to use and has an unlimited working life at room temperature. It bonds well to a wide variety of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, vulcanized rubbers and many plastics. It has excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals including fuels, acids, bases, oils and many solvents. The standard color is gray. EP17 is an excellent electrical insulator. The cured adhesive fully meets the requirements of MIL-MMM-A-132 as well as many other specifications.
