Trichrome II Staining Kit is used to study connective tissue, muscle and collagen fibers in tissue. Trichrome II Staining Kit is a modification of Masson's Trichrome Stain. Bouin's Solution is applied to tissue sections to intensify the final coloration. Cytoplasm and muscle are stained with Trichrome Red, containing Biebrich Scarlet and acid fuchsin. Nuclei are stained with iron hematoxylin. After application of Trichrome Mordant, the collagen is stained with Trichrome Blue, which contains aniline blue. Trichrome Clarifier, an acetic acid solution, is applied to create a more delicate and transparent shade of color in the tissue section.
