CONFIRM anti-LMO2 (1A9-1) is a mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody and is directed against a 24 kD protein in the LIM only family. LMO2 is expressed in normal germinal center (GC) B cells and in a subset of GC derived B-cell lymphomas and normal hematopoietic lineages. LMO2 is essential for the regulation of hematopoietic stem cells and is expressed in erythroid and myeloid precursors playing a crucial role in hematopoietic development. Preliminary studies demonstrate LMO2 expression in GC-derived B-cell lymphomas such as follicular, Burkitt, lymphocyte-predomina
nt Hodgkin, and diffuse large B-cell (DLBCL) neoplasms. LMO2 staining was absent in mature B-cell and T-cell lymphomas and in classical Hodgkin lymphomas.
