Anti-CD61 labels the IIIa subunit of the non-covalently linked glycoprotein heterodimer IIb/IIIa complex present on human platelets and their precursors. This antibody is useful in identifying megakaryoblastic differentiation as seen in megakaryoblastic leukemia.
