CA 19-9 antigen is highly expressed in gastrointestinal (gastric, pancreatic, and colonic) adenocarcinomas and salivary gland mucoepidermoid carcinomas. Anti-CA 19-9 antibody is usually not reactive with breast, kidney, and prostate carcinomas.
