The KAT Series consists of single-tower pressure vessels filled with activated carbon adsorbent designed to remove oil vapor and hydrocarbon contaminants from compressed air, reducing outlet concentrations to less than 0.01 ppm w/w. The towers feature separate fill and drain ports for easy carbon replacement without piping disconnection, stainless steel support screens, and lifting lugs for transport. Unit dimensions and weights vary by model, with inlet flow capacities ranging from 60 to 5500 scfm at 100 psig and NPT or flange connections. Carbon bed life exceeds 8,800 hours at 6 ppm inlet oil vapor concentration and 30,000 hours at 0.1 ppm. ASME-coded vessels are used for models 6 inches and larger. Maximum operating temperature is 120°F.
Models: KAT Series
Capacities: 60-5500 scfm
Kaeser's activated carbon towers (KATs) virtually eliminate hydrocarbon vapors in compressed air. These single tower pressure vessels are filled with activated carbon adsorbent that adsorbs contaminants onto the surface of its internal pores. KATs are ideally suited for food and pharmaceuticals processing, and microprocessor manufacturing.
