JAC-3 (Johnson and Allen Cleaner) is applied to initially de-grease a component or inspection area prior to the application of penetrant. The cleaner is then used as a penetrant remover and should be applied by impregnating a lint free cloth and then wiping away excess. Spraying the product on the surface directly is not recommended as this may wash out any penetrant captive in defects, thus reducing the integrity of test.
JAC-3 is available in aerosols and 5 Litre bulk.
This product uses a Acetone base, making it flammable but ultra quick drying. JAC-3 complies with BS EN ISO 3452-2.
