Johnson and Allen supply 2 types of Flux Indicator Strips for Type I (Engineering) and type II (Aerospace) applications. The strips are made out of laminated Mu-Metal and contain precision made faults so that magnetic particle inspections can be assessed and validated.
Flux Wallet:
Johnson and Allen's own flux indicator strips supplied in a PVC wallet. The wallet contains 5 flux strips which are suitable for type I and II applications with RPS 700 conformity. These strips can indicated both the presence and direction of magnetic fields and are ideal for validating MPI, particularly current flow and coil techniques. Also a fantastic teaching aid when explaining MPI.
QQI SHIM (CX/KSC 230):
Certified SHIM strip with circle and cross indication - The standard many work to. Suitable for type I and II applications. Approximate size - 19mm x 19mm, 50 microns thickness.
