The Stainless Steel Ball Lock® Liners, part number 49705SS, are designed for use in conjunction with the Ball Lock® Mounting System, providing a reliable solution for quick-change fixturing. Made from 17-4 PH stainless steel, these liners are suitable for applications in corrosive or hazardous environments. They maintain a repeatability of ±0.0005" (±0.003mm) when installed correctly, ensuring precise alignment and locking of fixtures. The maximum interference fit between the bore and bushing outer diameter should not exceed 0.0005" (0.013mm) to prevent binding. These liners are compatible with various shank diameters and can be used with both primary and secondary liners to enhance performance in machining setups.
Locating repeatability will determine if (1) primary and (1) secondary or (2) primary liners are needed. With (2) primary liners, repeatability of ±0.0005" (±0.003mm) can be maintained if the (2) holes for receiver bushings are held to a centerline distance of ±0.0002" (±0.005mm) tolerance.
