Downdraft tables are workstations with a flat, porous surface, that uses a vacuum system to capture particulate, smoke, fumes, or debris. This dust particulate or fumes are siphoned into a filtration area, where the air is usually run through cartridge filters. The collected dust is deposited in a hopper for disposal, and the cleaned air is recirculated to the facility. Downdraft tables and downdraft booths are commonly used in woodworking, metalworking, grinding, finishing, sanding, deburring, welding, plasma cutting, industrial painting, and other applications.
