ESDU 73007 provides curves to determine the stiffnesses of long flat strips initially subjected to in-plane biaxial direct stresses. The stiffnesses define the distributed edge rotations and corresponding edge couples; they are used to calculate the local buckling stress of a panel or strut that is composed of, or can be idealised to a model composed of, flat thin-walled elements in which the bending stiffnesses along and across the elements differ. Their use is explained in ESDU Struct 02.01.28.
