ESDU 67001 introduces the rationalised system of notation proposed by H. R. Hopkin in RAE Technical Report TR 66200 and is mainly intended to help those conversant with the previously used UK notation in making the transition to the new system. It does so by bringing out the many features of similarity and the essential differences. A more complete and formal description of the "Notation for aircraft dynamics" can be found in ESDU 67002.
