Surface Microphone Type 4948B is designed for measuring sound pressure on surfaces during in-flight testing, wind-tunnel measurements, and in confined spaces. It features a flush-mount titanium housing, a built-in DeltaTron® preamplifier, and supports both TEDS and Brüel&Kjær's Charge Injection Calibration (CIC). The microphone has a sensitivity of 1.4 mV/Pa, a frequency range of 5 to 20,000 Hz, and operates from -55 to 100°C. Its dynamic range extends to 160 dB, with a diaphragm resonance at 24 kHz. The unit measures 20 mm in diameter and 2.5 mm in height, and includes two 1.2 m miniature coaxial cables with 10-32 UNF connectors. Weight is 5.3 g with mounting flange.
Surface Microphone Type 4948-B is designed for measuring airplane surfaces during in-flight testing. The microphone also well suited to wind-tunnel testing, limited spaces, or near to hard reflective surfaces, and is supplied with two coaxial cables and CIC.
