Blank Ammunition Sealant 48641 is a medium-viscosity, UV and LED curable compound formulated for coating and sealing ammunition blank tips and shallow potting applications. It cures tack-free in ≤3 seconds under high-intensity ultraviolet light (365 nm) with intensities above 100 mW/cm². The uncured material has a viscosity of 600 to 800 cP at 25°C and a specific gravity of 1.01. Cured shear strength is ≥300 psi for glass-to-steel joints per ASTM D1002. It is a 100% solid, solvent-free system with purple fluorescent appearance for in-process inspection, exhibits excellent adhesion and environmental resistance, and requires storage between 45°F and 85°F (7°C to 29°C). The product is not suitable for pure oxygen or strong oxidizing environments. Its curing performance is affected by light intensity, film thickness, and distance from the source. It complies with ISO 9001 Quality Standard.
