Hamamatsu Photonics Europe Photo IC for optical switch S8119

The S8119 is a photo IC designed for optical switch applications, compatible with LED-based transmission or reflection mode configurations. It comes in a miniature transparent plastic package measuring 4.5 × 5.5 mm. The device operates with a supply voltage of 4.5 to 5.5 V and consumes 5.0 to 7.0 mA under no-load conditions. It supports a large allowable background light level of up to 10,000 lx typ. and features a peak sensitivity wavelength of 820 nm. The operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with a storage temperature range of -40 to +100 °C. Built-in short-circuit protection and configurable terminal functions for operation display, synchronous/asynchronous switching, and output logic selection are included.
