The S15658-01CT is a compact optical device integrating a silicon avalanche photodiode and a preamplifier with a built-in DC feedback circuit to mitigate background light effects. It features a 0.5 mm photosensitive area, operates from a 3.3 V supply, and offers two gain levels: low gain (3 kV/A) with single output and high gain (64 kV/A) with differential output. The device has a spectral response range of 400 to 1100 nm with peak sensitivity at 840 nm, and a high cutoff frequency of up to 230 MHz in high gain mode. It is housed in a glass epoxy package with silicone resin sealing, and is rated for operation from -40 to +105 °C. The part supports reflow soldering per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020 MSL 4.
