The S12706 is a CMOS linear image sensor designed for position detection and image reading, featuring a 28.672 mm effective photosensitive length composed of 4096 pixels, each 7 × 7 μm in size. It operates on a single 5 V power supply, with a maximum video data rate of 10 MHz and built-in timing generation requiring only start and clock pulse inputs. The sensor has a spectral response range of 400 to 1000 nm, peak sensitivity at 600 nm, and photosensitivity of 23 V/(lx·s). It includes correlated double sampling for noise reduction, with a saturation output voltage of up to 2.5 V and readout noise of 1.8 mV rms. The device is packaged in LCP with a borosilicate glass window and operates within a temperature range of -40 to +85 °C.
High sensitivity, photosensitive area with minute pixels
The S12706 is a high sensitivity CMOS linear image sensor using a photosensitive area with minute pixels. it has a long photosensitive area (effective photosensitive area length: 28.672 mm) consisting of 4096 pixels, each with a pixel size of 7 x 7 μm.
