The S12071 is a back-thinned CCD area image sensor designed for high sensitivity in the UV to visible region, featuring an anti-blooming function and one-stage thermoelectric cooling. It has an effective pixel array of 1024 × 1024 with 24 × 24 µm pixel size and a 24.576 × 24.576 mm image area. The sensor is packaged in a 40-pin ceramic DIP with a quartz window. Two selectable readout ports offer either low noise (1 MHz max) or high-speed (10 MHz max) operation. It operates with a substrate voltage of 0 V and supports temperatures from -50 °C to +50 °C. Dark current is 7 to 70 e-/pixel/s at 0 °C and reduces by half every 5 to 7 °C decrease. Full well capacity is 280 to 350 ke-, with conversion efficiency of 4 to 6.5 µV/e-. Spectral response ranges from 165 to 1100 nm.
