The R1527P is a side-on photomultiplier tube designed for photon counting, featuring a low noise bialkali photocathode with an effective area of 8 mm × 24 mm and a spectral response from 185 nm to 680 nm. It has a 11-pin base, operates with a maximum supply voltage of 1250 V between anode and cathode, and maintains an anode dark count of 10 to 50 s⁻¹ at plateau voltage. The tube exhibits a peak quantum efficiency of 19% at 400 nm, an anode gain of 6.7 × 10⁶, and an anode rise time of 2.2 ns. The device weighs approximately 45 g and operates within an ambient temperature range of -30 °C to +50 °C. It is compatible with sockets E678-11A, E717-63, and E717-74 (sold separately).
