Description
Specifically designed to profile grind the outside diameter of rubber rolls. The component is held by it's shaft as the slide positions it into the shaped grinding wheel. A robot SCARA arm is used to pick the part out of a tray, position it in the grinding fixture, then remove it after grinding and placing back in it's original location. After a predetermined number of components have been produced, the robot will position the part in a non contact laser gage. Feedback to the control will adjust for size variation. Also available is automatic work wheel dressing.
