It is compatible with both EPC Class 1 GEN 1 and GEN 2 protocols operating in the UHF band at 860 to 960MHz thus supporting both North America and the EU standards. The desktop RFID reader/writer is an excellent tool to aid in testing and validating applications. The SDK which ships with the product allows you to have your application quickly up and running.
