SpectraSyn,Ñ¢ 100 is a high viscosity polyalphaolefin (PAO) base stock designed for industrial applications requiring enhanced stability under extreme conditions. It features low temperature properties, including a pour point of -22¬8F (-30¬8C) and a high viscosity index of 170, which facilitates improved flow at low temperatures and increased film thickness at elevated temperatures. The product exhibits low volatility and excellent thermal stability, making it suitable for use in conjunction with lower viscosity fluids to achieve a wide range of ISO VG industrial and automotive gear oils. Key physical properties include a kinematic viscosity of 100 cSt at 212¬8F (100¬8C) and 1240 cSt at 104¬8F (40¬8C), with a Brookfield viscosity of 745,000 cP at -15¬8F (-26¬8C). The flash point is recorded at 541¬8F (283¬8C), indicating good thermal resistance. SpectraSyn,Ñ¢ 100 is also characterized by a low total acid number of less than 0.10 mg KOH/g and minimal water content of less than 50 ppm.
