ExxonMobil,Ñ¢ HD 5403.AS, also known as Paxon,Ñ¢ AS55-003, is a high-density polyethylene copolymer designed for blow molding applications. This product features an antistat additive, enhancing its performance in various environments. It offers a favorable balance of stiffness and stress crack resistance, making it suitable for applications such as drainage pipes, food packaging, household and industrial chemical containers, pharmaceutical packaging, thermoformed parts, and thin gauge sheets. The material has a density of 0.954 g/cm¬= and a melt index of 0.30 g/10 min, indicating its processability. Thermal properties include a deflection temperature under load (DTUL) of 160¬8F (71¬8C) and a Vicat softening temperature of 261¬8F (127¬8C). The tensile strength at yield is measured at 4100 psi (28 MPa), and it exhibits a flexural modulus of 150,000 psi (1000 MPa) at 1% secant. The product is NSF¬Æ-51 certified and UL recognized, although it is not intended for medical applications. Compliance with food contact regulations should be verified with ExxonMobil representatives.
