ExxonMobil,Ñ¢ C4LL 1018.BU, also known as ExxonMobil,Ñ¢ LLDPE LL 1001BU, is a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) resin characterized by its ethylene 1-butene copolymer composition. This product exhibits excellent drawdown and puncture resistance, along with high gloss and clarity, making it suitable for various applications. It is commonly used as a blend partner with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) resins to enhance film properties and processability. The resin has a density of 0.918 g/cm¬= and a melt index of 1.0 g/10 min, indicating its processing characteristics. It features a peak melting temperature of 252¬8F (122¬8C) and a Vicat softening temperature of 208¬8F (98¬8C). In terms of mechanical properties, it demonstrates a tensile strength at yield of 1300 psi (9.3 MPa) in the machine direction and 1400 psi (9.7 MPa) in the transverse direction, with elongation at break values of 510% and 690%, respectively. ExxonMobil,Ñ¢ C4LL 1018.BU is suitable for a wide range of applications, including agricultural films, food packaging, heavy-duty bags, and various types of industrial packaging. It is available in pellet form and is not intended for medical applications.
