Enable,Ñ¢ 4002MC Blown is a medium density ethylene 1-hexene copolymer metallocene polyethylene designed for blown film applications. It offers high stiffness and shrinkage, along with good optical properties, making it suitable for various packaging applications such as collation shrink, compression packaging, lamination film, and multilayer packaging film. The product exhibits excellent bubble stability, which contributes to high output capability in both monolayer and coextruded films. Key properties include a density of 0.938 g/cm¬=, a melt index of 0.25 g/10 min, and a peak melting temperature of 262¬8F (128¬8C). The tensile strength at yield is 2800 psi (19 MPa) in the machine direction and 3500 psi (24 MPa) in the transverse direction. The elongation at break is 490% in the machine direction and 810% in the transverse direction. The product also features a dart drop impact resistance of 60 g and an Elmendorf tear strength of 10 g (MD) and 600 g (TD). This polymer does not intentionally contain Tris(nonylphenol)phosphite (TNPP), and while it is not routinely tested for its presence, trace levels may occur due to raw material characteristics. It is important to note that this product is not intended for medical applications and compliance for food contact applications should be verified with ExxonMobil Chemical Customer Service.
Allows film converters to further enhance their business with more stable operations, improve line output and downgauging — in one single polymer for mono- and coextrusion operations.
