Enable™ 2703MC is a metallocene polyethylene resin, specifically an ethylene 1-hexene copolymer, designed to provide a favorable balance between processing and film properties. It features a density of 0.927 g/cm³ and a melt index of 0.30 g/10 min, making it suitable for various applications including blown film, food packaging, and heavy-duty bags.
The resin exhibits high tensile strength, with values of 1900 psi (13 MPa) in the machine direction and 2200 psi (15 MPa) in the transverse direction at yield. It also demonstrates excellent elongation at break, reaching 480% in the machine direction and 750% in the transverse direction. The Vicat softening temperature is recorded at 239°F (115°C), indicating good thermal stability.
Enable™ 2703MC is compatible with multiple processing aids and thermal stabilizers, although it does not contain antiblock or slip additives. It is available in pellet form and is suitable for mono- and coextrusion operations. The product is not intended for medical applications and compliance for food contact applications should be verified with ExxonMobil.
