Epsilon’s 3590-TORSION Calibrator Accessory is designed for use with Epsilon models 3590 and 3590VHR Calibrators. It is designed for torsional calibration or verification of extensometers, including Epsilon axial-torsional models 3550, 7650, and 3550HT. The accessory includes a mechanical rotation subassembly and a calibrated and traceable linear displacement head. Readings must be converted from displacement of the linear measuring head to torsional rotation of the calibration rig: 1.27 mm (0.050”) = 1 degree twist. The digital display reads in millimeters or inches and can be zeroed at the touch of a button.
