A low cost, computerized gas blending and gas dilution system with an advanced Windows user interface, the Series 4020 now has the expanded capability of mixing up to 7 gases in a balance gas or diluting up to 10:000:1.
Units can now be ordered or retrofit to run on a 24V power source so you can use your unit anywhere.
The Environics® Series 4020 is a computerized gas mixing/dilution system which offers the unique capability of mixing or diluting gases in a single chassis.
The gas mixes can be used in generating precise gas calibration standards, creating gaseous atmospheres or producing gas mixes for analytical research or production purposes. The Series 4020 can produce gas concentrations from percent to ppb levels for single or multi-point calibration, allowing you to use fewer cylinders.
All units are built to your specific needs and can include additional features such as cleaning for oxygen service, Silconert/Sulfinert coating, speciality seals (Kalrex, metal). Custom systems can also be built to handle explosive gases.
The Series 4020 can now mix up to three (7) component gases simultaneously to generate precise gas calibration standards and gaseous atmospheres in a broad dynamic range. The dilution capabilities of the 4020 allows from 1:1 to 10,000:1 depending on the configuration of the system.
The system consists of two components: the Series 4020 instrument and the user's personal computer. The user interface is a Microsoft Windows application that communicates with the Environics system via a USB (standard) or RS232 serial interface. Bluetooth enabled devices running Windows software can also control the unit remotely (optional).
Additional options include the ability to remote start, remote stop, and canister filling stop all via a dry contact closure. Optional alarms available and can include visual alarms upon low input cylinder pressure.
The Series 4020 consists of a single chassis supporting up to eight mass flow controllers.
The mass flow controllers are factory calibrated using a primary flow standard traceable to the United State's National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Each flow controller utilizes an 11 point calibration table with linear interpolation, to increase accuracy and reduce flow controller nonlinearity.
The humidification option allows specific Relative Humidity (RH) levels to be added to the output gas of the system. RH levels between 0 - 95% can be achieved. The humidifier is factory calibrated for a specific RH level to an accuracy of 5% (assuming a constant flow rate and gas temperature), and is NIST traceable.
The humidification option is rear panel mounted and consists of a humidifier and a 250mL gravity feed D.I. water reservoir. The humidifier is made from a water vapor permeable tube made of Nafion (a Teflon derivative). The humidification option incorporates a continuous purge path to prevent moisture build-up and condensation.
