GGB DU™ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size 0808 DU-B

Description
Our metal-backed, PTFE-based (polytetrafluoroethy lene) polymer bearing materials have a common structure, consisting of a metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sinter layer. This bronze sinter layer is impregnated and overlaid with the filled PTFE bearing lining. The metal backing provides mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bearing lining. This construction promotes dimensional stability and improves thermal conductivity. These polymer bearing linings, being predominantly PTFE, offer exceptionally low friction.

The DU¬Æ Cylindrical Bushes - Inch Size, specifically part number 0808 DU-B, are metal-polymer anti-friction plain bearings designed for a variety of industrial applications, including aerospace, agricultural, and construction equipment. These self-lubricating bushings provide excellent wear resistance and low friction performance across a wide range of loads, speeds, and temperatures, making them suitable for dry running conditions as well as lubricated applications. The bushings are approved for use in interior aircraft applications according to Federal Aviation Regulations FAR 25.853 and FAR 25.855. They can accommodate linear, oscillating, and rotating movements, and are available in standard dimensions, with options for custom designs. The maximum dynamic load capacity is 36,000 psi, with a maximum operating temperature of 536¬8F. The coefficient of friction ranges from 0.02 to 0.25, depending on operating conditions. Engineers considering this product should note its compatibility with various shaft surface conditions and its performance in both dry and lubricated environments.
