The HPF® series consists of fiber-reinforced composite bearings with a proprietary filled PTFE tape liner, designed for hydropower applications such as servo-motor and guide vane bearings. Available as plain cylindrical bushes and sliding plates, the bearing offers a machinable surface, high load capacity, and excellent corrosion resistance. It operates from -195°C to 140°C, supports dynamic and static loads up to 140 N/mm², and permits sliding speeds up to 2.5 m/s with a pU factor of 1.23 N/mm²·m/s. The coefficient of friction ranges from 0.02 to 0.10 under dry conditions and 0.02 to 0.08 under grease lubrication. Shaft surface roughness should be 0.2-0.8 μm with a hardness exceeding 180 HB, or 480 HB for extended service life. Performance is rated very good under dry, water, and process fluid lubrication, poor under grease lubrication. Dimensions are standardized; custom designs are available upon request.
