Water-Cooled Third Generation Brake The Water-Cooled Third Generation Brake is disc type, externally water cooled dynamic brake designed to dissipate extremely high thermal loads. The improved internal design and increased water flow allow improved fluid dynamics with better energy dissipation characteristics. The new brake is available with the Eaton’s Airflex dual piston design as well as the air and water cooled combination style brake that acts as both a dynamic tensioning and static holding brake.
