Twin crystal transducers are particularly suited to measuring heavily corroded metals. They are used with our thickness meters in two measuring modes. In Echo-Echo mode, up to 0.040 inch of surface coating can be completely ignored: only the underlying material thickness will be displayed. Single-Echo mode should only be used when there are no coatings or paints on the material being measured.
